About Me

👋 Hi I’m Sarah.

With over two decades in Human Resources, my career has been a journey of helping workplaces flourish, supporting employee wellbeing, and guiding others through their careers. Recently, I stepped away from my HR role—not from the field entirely, but to explore a fresh path that aligns deeply with my values and interests.

Though I’m currently hunting for my next opportunity, I remain committed to Human Resources, bringing a unique blend of psychology and career development expertise into everything I do. Recently, I completed my degree in Psychology, focusing my thesis on the “privacy paradox” and how personality influences our interactions with new technology. This January 2025, I’ll be taking on a new academic challenge—a degree in Career Development—which will allow me to combine my HR experience with my passion for psychology to support individuals in growing and achieving their goals. It feels like the right next step, especially as I’ve always enjoyed mentoring and coaching others through their professional journeys.

As I explore new roles in HR projects, organisational development, and areas where psychology plays a role, I look forward to sharing insights and discoveries here. On the blog, you’ll find a mix of thoughts on psychology and HR, plus the occasional post about video games, dinosaurs, date nights with my husband, cats, and monster trucks!

While I may not yet be a registered psychologist, I’m a certified HR professional with a wealth of experience in the field. All views shared are my own, with any industrial relations insights grounded in Australian regulations.

Let’s embrace our curiosity together as we continue to learn and grow!
